Jerry de St. Paër
Former CFO, XL Capital & Equitable
Jerry de St. Paër currently serves as Senior Advisory Partner at Grail Partners, LLC, a financial services sector investment and M&A advisory firm. Previously, Jerry served as SVP Finance at AIG; before joining AIG, he served as EVP and CFO of XL Capital (2001-2007). Prior to his tenure at AIG and XL, he served as Managing Director of Insurance Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan and Hudson International, from 1996-2001. Jerry served as Senior EVP and CFO of The Equitable Companies (1992-1996). He concurrently served as EVP of AXA responsible for global strategic studies and corporate development (1994-1996). At Equitable, he served as EVP of Corp. Dev., responsible for mutual-to-stock conversion and IPO, in 1991.
Additionally, he served as SVP and Treasurer of Equitable Life from 1990-1991 and as CFO of Equitable Investment Management Corporation from 1986-1990. Prior to his tenure at Equitable, Jerry served as CFO of several other public companies, and in the Treasury department at ExxonMobil (then Standard Oil Company). He has B.A. in Mathematics from North Central College and M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (“SAIS”).
